Your student will have a blast creating a window display for a store of their choice. The “Retail Exterior Window Display” objective is to create an exterior window display of a retailer with a shoebox using the Principles and Elements of Design along with Visual Merchandising concepts. This assignment is an independent activity that allows students to use their creativity and innovation skills. The end result will be a themed window display that demonstrates 9 elements.

 

TIME

This activity is designed to span a 1-week period inclusive of research, gathering the materials, and development of the shoebox display. Suggested classroom time is at least 180 minutes for research, collaboration, and observation.
